If Arun Bose’s prints are all about mystery that gets evoked through the artist’s usage of light on his canvas, his paintings conjure up a similar enigma. Though mostly a printmaker, his paintings, too, were created with a similar zeal and passion. The clean lines and patterns, which we see in his prints, can be seen in his paintings as well. In this painting, the hollowed-out window-like patterns; flight of steps; a reddish-pinkish glow on the dome and the overall structure—all put together create an air of secrecy.
