Please join us for an exhibition walkthrough with writer Jai Arjun Singh tracing the legacy of photographer Nemai Ghosh as a visual chronicler of auteur Satyajit Ray's life and creative journey.

Based in New Delhi, Jai Arjun Singh has authored The World of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, and edited The Popcorn Essayists, an anthology of personal essays on cinema. He also writes a culture blog called Jabberwock and is currently working on a book of personal pieces about the intersection between life and cinema.

The exhibition Faces and Facets: Satyajit Ray in Colour is devoted exclusively to the colour photographs of Nemai Ghosh, bringing forth the warmth of interiors, the modulations of light across surfaces, and the subtle textures of the environments within which Ray conceived his films. Together, the photographs offer a luminous meditation on Ray’s presence—at once monumental and intimate—inviting viewers to encounter him anew through the quiet radiance of colour.
