Victoria Memorial Hall, in collaboration with DAG, invites you to an exhibition walkthrough with Giles Tillotson, SVP, DAG, as he takes us through the historic and artistic significance of photographs of the Himalaya by Italian photographer Vittorio Sella—a pioneer of mountain photography at the turn of the twentieth century.

Vittorio Sella: Photographer in the Himalaya witnesses not just the physical grandeur of the Himalaya but also a pivotal moment in both mountaineering and photographic history through Sella’s masterful lens. Recorded over a hundred years ago and significant both historically and artistically, today, more than a century later, these images continue to evoke the same sense of wonder that Sella himself must have felt as he gazed upon these majestic peaks.
