Please join us for The Peripatetic Statue: Khada Parsi, a talk by historian Murali Ranganathan on the early history and politics of installing statues in Bombay's public places.

Murali Ranganathan researches the nineteenth century with a special focus on Bombay and western India.

Through a rich selection of artworks, archival material, photography and multimedia displays, the exhibition Bombay Framed: People, Memory, Metropolis reconstructs Bombay’s journey — its port economy, industrialisation, cosmopolitan inhabitants and layered histories of migration that have defined its identity. It traces the constant motion of a metropolis shaped by migration, trade, industry and culture.
