The Daniells reserved for the last plate of Volume V their view of Delhi’s most famous and spectacular landmark antiquity, the Qutb Minar, switching to an upright format to accommodate its soaring two-hundred-and-forty-foot height. This is the earliest known depiction of the monument and shows the lost cupola that once crowned it.
