Rajmahal—the Daniells’ first stop on the Ganga proper—is the former Mughal provincial capital of Bengal, established as such by the governor Raja Man Singh of Amber and much embellished later by Shah Shuja, second son of Shah Jahan. The tomb depicted here is that of Nawab Ibrahim (not Asaf) Khan.
