Historian Maroona Murmu, artist-pedagogue Arpan Mukherjee and scholar Ankan Kazi on the ‘ethnographic gaze’ in photography, printmaking, and colonial narratives to explore the representational dynamics of caste and gender in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

This event is a part of DAG’s exhibition ‘People of Bengal: Coloured Etchings by F. Baltazard Solvyns’, presented in collaboration with the Alipore Museum.
