Prabhakar Barwe started using the device of surrealism to explore the relationship of objects in space and excelled at depicting alternate views of things taken for granted in daily life, even providing different possibilities with their placement vis-à-vis each other. This Untitled work exemplifies his unordinary world view of the relationship between common objects, here represented as motifs for use by weavers. The drawing juxtaposes shapes and forms to create a smorgasbord of images that could be interpreted in multifarious ways, often changing the very meaning of an individual object.
