Against the background of the exhibition Banaras: Imagined Landscape, we engage G20 Sherpa and former CEO, NITI Aayog, Amitabh Kant, and Director and Representative, UNESCO South Asia, Timothy Curtis, in a conversation with DAG’s Kishore Singh about the city’s relevance, people, culture, heritage and regeneration keeping its future in mind. Curated by art critic Gayatri Sinha, Banaras: Imagined Landscape brings together the perspectives of colonial artists, modern painters, and photographers to create a panoramic view of this enigmatic city, unfolding over the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. |
