Printed at A. P. Bagchi's Calcutta Art Studio, Shri Shri Gauranga Avatar characterises a popular Gaudiya Vaishnava belief of Chitanya Mahaprabhu as an avatar of Vishnu. This incarnation is six-armed, with each set colour-coded for easier identificationthe green hands carrying a bow and arrow belong to Rama, Krishna's blue arms hold a flute, and Chaitanya's tanned arms carry his stick and begging bowl. Chaitanya stands in the tribhanga posture, his divinity justified by placing the figure on a lotus flower.
