A work from the mature stage of the artist’s career, it is almost an allegory for the satiation that Ambadas must have felt in having successfully explored his individuated style of abstraction throughout his career and achieved perfection in it. It’s the placid character of his signature squiggles that catches one’s attention—these are spread almost all over the picture plane in a composed manner, free flowing and made with broad brushstrokes. While these forms seem independent and separate from each other, at the same time they also seem to form or manifest into a single rhythm.
