An evening of balladic storytelling brings the commissioned bookmaking project Jolgodhika's sketch-format narrative to life, reviving the lost tradition of Bengal’s ‘Shruti-Path’ or collective book readings.

Excerpts from Soumyadip Ray's text have been composed by Amit Kumar Dey and performed by Ayantan Das, Utsa Biswas, Chaiti Nath, Bholanath Sikder, and Haru Ruidas.

This programme is a public outcome of Aranya Sengupta's fine press book project, presented as part of 'Notun Shilpo Boi: Jolgodhika'—DAG's 2026 edition of its contemporary artist commission series, 'Points of Departure'. The programme will be in Bangla.
