The Mutiny Memorial, now called Ajitgarh, was built in 1863 to honour those who died fighting for the British cause. The Memorial was built on the Ridge where the British forces had set up camp during the Siege of Delhi in 1857. It has seven marble slabs which list the names of the martyrs and describe the events of the siege.
