G. R. Santosh’s works were inspirational and expressive of an archetypal imagery that is part of a collective memory of the tantra tradition. His technique of using colour to reveal bright light was unique, adding to the visual symbology of geometric forms through which he conveyed spirituality. The liminal, pulsating outline of a female figure or goddess here corresponds to the coming together of male and female principles as a part of the process of procreation, which lies at the core of consciousness.
