The amphitheatre was a pavilion in blue, white, and gold. Nearly eight-hundred feet long, it was laid out in a line that curved in a semicircle with the throne pavilion as its centre. Like the other structures next to it, it was designed by Swinton Jacob, the architect of several palaces and public buildings in the Indo-Saracenic style, popular in India at the time.
