Chittaprosad transformed political caricature into a powerful form of visual dissent, using exaggeration, satire and irony to confront colonial authority, social inequality and the indifference of the ruling classes. Largely self-taught, he developed a distinctive realism through close observation, particularly in his understanding of anatomy, gesture and human expression. His deliberate distortion of the figure through exaggerated proportions and emphatic movement became central to his political vocabulary, allowing complex social realities to be communicated with immediacy. Bold lines, dramatic gestures and biting humour gave his images both visual force and moral urgency. For Chittaprosad, art was inseparable from social responsibility: his drawings sought not merely to document injustice but to provoke awareness and challenge the structures that sustained it.
