Prabhakar Barwe, apparently a reticent man in public life, laid a lot of store by imagination, which fuelled his vocabulary of alternate reality—an essential ingredient of his personalised abstractionism. He experimented with the trope on various categories of commonly known objects and living things. This one, for instance, brings his apophenic experiment to the world of wasps and insects such as butterflies. In fact, pupae and larvae too are discernible. With his imagination, Barwe lends a sense of art to these winged arthropods, matching up to the variety found in nature.
