Altaf in his early years as an adult, when he was studying arts in London, had made great and successful efforts in integrating himself in the busy social life of the British capital. From movies and plays to concerts and protest marches, he was involved in all. This collage seems an ode to that merry life, with the face of British fashion icon of the Swinging Sixties, Mary Quant, staring with those famous eyes—she passed away in 2023 at the age of ninety-three. Also discernible is a seat card of Ivan Turgenev’s play, A Month in the Country, featuring Ingrid Bergman and Michael Redgrave.
