In his drawing of this face, Altaf channels the sense of unease that is generally found underlying his works. The drawing presents parted lips and angry eyes evoking intense emotion. Half of the face is boldly coloured with short angry strokes and the other half remains an outline. The lines outside and their haphazard placement indicate momentary rage, accentuating the sense of discomfort the drawing exudes. Drawn, ironically, on a sheet from a SONY notepad, the work, characteristic of the artist, prompts introspection.
