This work is an intriguing representation of a chaotic scene. The depiction of a vehicle amidst the swarm of men and women creates a sense of frenzy and urgency. Interestingly, women’s anatomical parts are more distinct than the presence of men, adding a layer of gendered complexity to the work. The crow-like outline on the top left adds a haunting quality to the work emphasising the ominous, even oppressive, nature of the situation. But it is the sign, ‘SHOWTIME’,” positioned off-centre, that becomes the focal point of the drawing. It highlights the performative aspects of gender roles and the pressure to conform. Like his other works, this too becomes significant for social thought.
