Goddess of my Village stems from a long-standing engagement with Shakti—whether in village temples as a child, heard in folklore, or experienced through Kolkata’s cultural and religious milieu, after she moved there. Across many works, she has returned to the feminine divine force with deep reverence and imaginative power.
